We ambled along I-24 to I-64 and around St Louis on I-255 and then I-270 and arrived at Lazy Day Campground at exit 170 on I-70. After the excitement of the interstate through Nashville we took a circuitous route around the heavy traffic through the middle of St. Louis. I've seen the arch before so I was fine with a less direct route.
This park is one of the nicest and best maintained private, small parks we've visited. I highly recommend it if you are anywhere between Kansas City and St. Louis. The owner has planted many floral vignettes and has used antiques and interesting artifacts to spruce up the buildings and the pool area. It's not a fancy "motorcoach type" park. This is a park with level, gravel sites and carefully pruned trees and shrubs. They are a Good Sam park and if you check out the Trailer Life or Woodalls you will find that it is highly recommended by both.
I have some photos to post but will need to upload them a little later.
Today we took a quick car trip about 17 miles to Hermann, MO where we had a German lunch at Stone Hill Winery. This little town can be reached by Amtrak train (so that means you could also be staying nearby and take the train into St. Louis or Kansas City). They have a Spring festival and an Oktoberfest as well as weekend activities. The town is situated on the Missouri River so there's a rivertown feel.

Tomorrow we will reluctantly move along toward the West. What a wonderful life this RVing lifestyle is..
Happy Trails!
