New stuff

Not US! My brother and SIL have been bitten by the RV bug. They were visiting here in central FLorida when my brother said he thought he would look at used motorhomes on an online site. He asked us a lot of questions and well...the rest is history. The bad news is that I din't think they'll stay at our house now...the good news? They bought a cherry Mountain Aire 15 miles from our house.

We are heading to Prague in about 9 days for wedding number 1. Wedding 2 is in May in Pennsylvania. We spend a month near Lancaster County. Early June we head to Idaho (West Yellowstone) for a few months of fishing (for Jack) and sewing (for me). If weather cooperates we will have some time in Tennessee in September. There are a few treats planned: a sidetrip to Dresden, Germany and another to Vienna, Austria, a stop at Appomattox on way to PA, a visit to a quilt exhibit at Wayne Arts Center and trips to Amish fabric sources, a stop in Omaha to visit the Lincoln, Nebraska quilt museum, photography in Yellowstone, Whatever else we find! What an adventure this will be!

Busy days

We have been enjoying baseball at JetBlue Park this week with fellow RVing friends. It sure is nice to pack up the motorhome and head out to a new (or well liked) destination. We've had some good meals. We even revisited an eatery we liked 5 or 6 years ago, Key Lime Bistro.

Lots going on right now. Who said retirement can be boring?

A little behind in updates

We're in Central Florida and have been since October. The weather has been fantastic and our schedule has been full.

This week we are enjoying Boston Red Sox Spring Training at Jet Blue park. We'll let you know how we feel about it all after another game or two.

Quick update

We are in southwestern PA about 50 miles from Pittsburgh. We visited the Flight 93 Memorial yesterday. The crowds were gone and the sight is not completed but we must commend the project creators for a moving result. So many lives lost. The passengers and crew of Flight 93 are heroes.

This is a photo Jack took today in Western Pennsylvania. I'll post more about today's touring and add some photos. Jack took this one.

Champion, PA

We arrived at our planned park after a drive of about 250 miles. The drive was on major highways by design since we had no information about the local roads/red routes. This route added another 25 miles to our travel day but it was quite easy with much less traffic than usual.

The photo I added is a "comparison" of the flood levels now and in 1972 (hurricane Agnes). We drove past huge swells of water and we pray for all who are suffering losses in this storm situation.

Soggy!

We are still in North Central PA where we had a visit with my Dad. It was all great until the main event of Tropical storm Lee chose to pass right over us- for days and days of rain. The park we found here is Army Corps of Engineers so it's a good value and safe in the area wide flood watches. We hope to leave soon to make our expensive reservations (nonrefundable) to tour Falling Water.
