We walked from the National Museum of Natural History to have a quick sandwhich at a nearby cafe. On our way we came upon the "Old Post Office." I thought it was a good photo op:

We participated in a huge Tea Party march in DC yesterday and we know how many people were there. From early in the morning Pennsylvania Avenue was jammed with Americans of all ages, ethnicity and from nearly every state but you won't see much about it if you watch the so-called MSM (ABC, NBC, CBS).
We know that they don't consider up to 2 million citizens speaking out against the unconstitutional actions of our government and the ridiculous taxation of it's citizens to be news worthy. People should be very suspect of media outlets who won't move past their ideology to be informative. No wonder so many voters are unaware that they are being mislead and return the same poor choices to Washington.
We were there and so were most likely the largest number of citizens to ever protest in DC. Here's another quick photo of the citizens in our view.
Note: most signs are handmade, not professionally printed like typical protests.

I have a lot more evidence but I think you get the drift. I believe the 1.5 to 2 M count that has been written about in the foreign news report by "Mail" online from the UK.
Oh, and Robert Gibbs was quoted saying they didn't know anything about this event. Gee, permits are required and members of the house and senate spoke at the event.

Last but not least: a link to the traffic camera at the corner of Freedom Plaza where it all started. This is timed from 8 am to 11:30 am when the citizens began their approach to the Capitol.
We took the Metro into DC today to visit the Museum of American History. We spent several hours in the museum and saw Julia Child's kitchen (well worth a visit) that was donated in 2001. After the fun history we proceeded to the area of transportation. This too is a terrific exhibit spanning from steam engine to all means of getting from place to place. Our last stop was the area titled "The cost of freedom." We only had enough time to see the exhibit for the War of 1812 and the Civil War area. We have made a commitment to see more while we are here but I doubt we'll finish this museum before they change the exhibits.
We took the Metro from the Smithsonian stop on the Blue line, making a change to the Green line to get back to our RV park in Maryland. The trip is less than an hour if we make all our connections.
We have some more touring to do and the big finale on Saturday; We are attending the Tea Party march along Pennsylvania Avenue between Freedom Plaza and the Capitol - West Front. We are strongly opposed to the incredible increases in taxation that will be imposed on us and the future generations of Americans. This is the tip of the iceberg considering all that is being proposed. We pray that American citizens recognize how these proposals tear away their freedoms. It is unconscionable that government would expect the "people" to work for them rather than for our elected government officials to work for us. American history is heavy with how our forefathers fought for us to have our liberties,
We have been enjoying visits with family and attending the memorial at Arlington Cemetery for Jack's Dad. I will be posting some photos of this incredible honoring of a WW II veteran. We all just thought it would have pleased John so much to see the ceremony. More on the ceremony later.
