Alas, no photos from us today. I had hoped to have at least one to share but we hung around the RV yesterday enjoying the sunny, fall-like day and didn't get the cameras out. I did find an interesting pic of Cape Foulweather:

We've been to Lincoln City and we love the coastline along this stretch. The little towns can be interesting even though some are quite touristy...T-shirt shops wall to wall. On the way south from Netarts Bay we saw quite a few large dairy farms. These tend to be set back off the coastline and have been operating for many generations of the family. It's quite uplifting to see small family-owned farmers still operating in the current economic environment.
Today we may venture out for some touring in town. Last time we were here we met with our kite flying friends who travel here from Toronto because there are some of the largest kit competitions in Lincoln City. Similar to Long Beach the kite oriented activities have given birth to lots of tourist shops. The reason for the high kite flying enthusiasm is due to a nice long beach.
This elks lodge is almost luxurious, having showers and W&E hookups. The grounds are grassy with picnic tables and fire pits. There are out buildings with wood stove and lots of tables where groups gather for cards, eating, whatever.... We enjoy the many lodges we have visited and rarely have left because we didn't think it would work. I pray that the Elks can continue to operate because it is a terrific enterprise that benefits many. I just learned that the BPOE Elks offers more education scholarships than the federal government. We have witnessed a number of community events at Elks where needy families received gifts or other assistance. It feels good to be part of a volunteer organization that does it's best to serve the community.
It looks like the nice weather will continue through today so I'm off to do some exploring.
Happy Trails!
